18 men, and 9 ladies braved the cold elements for the second Derby Runner XC, held at Martinshaw Woods. The course was a mixture of open fields, farmers fields, woodland paths, a small section of compact gravel, and a concrete path over the motorway.
The wintery weather made it challenging underfoot as the ground was pretty solid in places, and the uneven terrain made broken ankles a real threat!
Well done to the 27 runners, you all ran brilliantly!
