Hinckley Running Club Members Conquer Global Spring Marathons

Runners rack up over 800 miles across five iconic cities.

Thirty two dedicated members of Hinckley Running Club have proven that grit and perseverance pay off, completing a combined total of over 800 miles in spring marathons across major cities — including Boston (UK & USA), Paris, London and many more.

After months of braving early mornings, freezing temperatures, and dark winter nights, the runners reached the finish lines of some of the world’s most famous marathons, collecting medals and personal bests along the way. The group was made up of a mix of first-time marathoners and seasoned long-distance runners, all representing the club with pride.

Charlotte Sinclair, Chairwoman of Hinckley Running Club, praised the group’s remarkable achievement.

“We are incredibly proud of all the runners achieving their marathon goals this season,” she said. “Training for a marathon is incredibly hard and takes a lot of time away from family — even missing out on events to squeeze in another run. They all deserve the utmost recognition for what they have achieved.”

The club’s marathoners were cheered on by fellow members and supporters, with updates and finish line photos shared widely on social media. Their accomplishments mark yet another milestone for the thriving Leicestershire club, known for its strong community and spirit.

With marathon season drawing to a close, the club now turns its focus to summer events including the Leicester Road Running league, where members will continue to inspire others with their dedication and passion for running.

If you feel inspired to lace up your trainers, Hinckley Running Club welcomes newcomers to join a free three-week trial and experience the benefits of running with a supportive and motivating group.
