Cross Country 1994

Hinckley Times photo 1994

In honour of the Derby Runner cross country season starting this weekend, and with it being the club’s 30th anniversary — here’s a look back to how cross country was done 23 years ago. Apart from the hairstyles, not much has changed really. Scan provided by Penny Masser.

Finish Line

Continuing the photo posts, I thought I’d do an occasional “photo review” post looking back over the year to highlight all the different aspects of the club for visitors to the site.

This great action shot from August shows an HRC Juniors athlete crossing the finish line in a 100m race at a Charnwood AC open event at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium, Loughborough. For more about the junior section of the club, go to the Juniors page. Photo by Athletic.Photography.

Ready… GO!

Great pic from tonight’s All Sorts intermediates session — a hill practice session on Castle Street. For more info about the All Sorts, see the Beginners page on the site. Thanks Dave Steer for the photo.

League Award Winners

The picture shows Chris and Bethan with their LRRL Winter League trophies, which were given out after the West End 8 — 2nd Male 45-49 and 1st U20 Female. Well done all; you can see where everyone came in the winter league in this post.

Sunset on Burbage Common Road

A photo I took on tonight’s Thursday club run. Clocks forward means it’s light enough to go out on the local lanes again ?
